He should be having that creative as well as technical knack for story ideas and unique implementation towards carrying out an appealing effect. His job demands a lot of work that is from ideas, story, script, cast, screenplay, music, direction, budget, sets, location…etc.
Scope
The field of film making is highly competitive and has a lot of scope for employment opportunities too. If one possesses artistic and technical skills and at the same time an ability to express ideas, this is the most appropriate field to work in. So where should one begin from? Screenplay
Screenplay writing has emerged as a well-paid job, because success of a motion picture predominantly lies in its screenplay. Without a script, there’d be nothing for a producer to produce; there’d be no lines for actors to say and no description for a director to direct. If you look at it from that perspective then the script is the most important element of the process and the screenwriter is the most valuable member of the team.
Direction
Director is the captain of the ship and has a good working knowledge of all the above areas. As a Fresher, one needs to align oneself with a director with the objective of getting hands on experience and basically trying to learn the ropes. Film and video editors are technical experts who help directors realize their artistic vision.
Editing
Editors play a critical role in the creative look of a film. Editors work closely with the director of a film, mostly during postproduction.
